In April 2014 SACO's airdivision, SACO GroupAir, opens in Uruguay, with IATA license to operate.
Uruguay operates under a free airport system in which it is possible to handle cargo in transit to other destinations, without major customs interventions. The arrived cargo can be divided, and partially or totally forwarded to other destinations, such as importing or storing. You can also change the mode of transport without major delays or inconveniences. In addition, we have in the facilities within the airport an exclusive area for storage of pharmaceutical cargo, which has three areas with different controlled temperatures.
In February 2020, we obtained GDP Cerification, for handling Pharma products for Airfreight, for either IMPORT; EXPORT and TRANSSHIPMENTS.
